Sydney and I hung out with her family on Saturday, to create a multi-generational portrait. I took this picture of her in her childhood backyard.
Last night was my niece Faith's 9th birthday party. Below are pictures of Faith hopped up on sugar with her cousin Aidan, and her sister, Zoe, who was playing Iron Butterfly on the guitar in her room.

Anton, Kepi and David Houston all played on Saturday, Febrary 23rd at Luna's on 16th Street. David is still an amazing musician--it's been more than six years since I've seen him play and he's just gotten better. At Luna's, he had a cellist and a violinist as well as his usual band members, which gave him a stately, Lambchop-like feel. Great stuff.

Yesterday, Syd and I did some filming at the Capitol, and I got a great shot of her:

Fred got a new dog last week. Tiny, cute, happy, and sweet-tempered, Benny is everything that Fred is not. He even slept through most of the Oscar Night festivities, not even caring when Joel and Ethan Coen won for "No Country for Old Men." Well... he's a beagle.

Anton Barbeau, in his Sacramento home, before heading back to become famous once more in Oxford.
Syd and I went to Dillon Beach on Sunday and had a lovely time. It's one of my favorite places in California and I feel rejuvenated now.
